The Property Alert or House Hunter allows you to set up a search agent that will automatically send you new properties that match the keywords or the full criteria that you define. You will also be able to set the number of days that your personal search agent should operate before it automatically expires. To set up an House Hunter agent, click on the House Hunter link in the navigation bar. From the House Hunter options page, click on the Create Agent button. You will be prompted to log in. If you have already registered, you can enter your username and password in the logon form. If you haven't already registered, you must register in order to use this feature. Once you have logged in, specify the keywords and other criteria (such as the category or type of property) that your search agent will use when looking at new properties. If you want to define a sophisticated database search, you can do so by clicking on the "Advanced Search" link. You will then be able to set up a sophisticated search agent specifying specific criteria, such as the city, number of bedrooms, specific amenities, or other options, depending on the section that you are in. You can also specify ranges, such as retrieval only of properties for apartments that cost between $600 and $900 per month, that have at least one but not more than three bedrooms, that are located in a specific city or neighborhood, and that have a fireplace and are near mass transit. As you can see, the House Hunter feature is quite powerful. When new properties are posted to the system that match your criteria, you will be notified by e-mail, including a link to the property.

You can modify or delete your House Hunter search agent at any time by clicking on the House Hunter link in the navigation bar and then choosing Modify Agent or Delete Agent from the House Hunter options page. You will need to logon to the system in order to modify or delete your profile, so please make a note of your username and password, as well as the number of your House Hunter profile.
